HydraFacial Keravive

For many of us, our hair is our crowning glory. It directly reflects who we are and serves as a way to express ourselves. But it’s also an indicator of what’s happening internally, too. At some point in life, those once-full strands may be replaced with thin and sparse hairs, and the number of hairs on the head also starts to decrease. While it is hard to pinpoint precisely when changes to the hair happen—everyone is different, and a slew of factors dictate healthy hair growth—unfortunately, it’s bound to happen at some point. As the topic of hair loss and thinning hair becomes more mainstream, so does the idea and acceptance of hair restoration treatments.

You don't have to be in your 60s or 70s to notice hair density changes—thinning hair can happen at any age and to anyone.

Once thinning starts, it can surface as bald spots at the temples, a widening part, and patchy areas around the crown. There can also be less volume at the root and more noticeable hair shedding in your brush or at the shower drain. Along with these changes usually comes a drier scalp, too. While lifestyle and diet can influence hair loss and shedding, other factors must be considered, including stress, a scalp imbalance, vitamin deficiencies, hormones, medications, environmental factors and damage, and illness.

Just because you’re starting to see the signs of thinning hair and more progressive shedding doesn’t mean you have to live with it. Effective treatments, like HydraFacial Keravive, restore the hair to a healthy state by stimulating and hydrating the scalp for healthier hair. Consider this your start to making every day a good hair day.

What is the HydraFacial Keravive Treatment?

The HydraFacial Keravive is a unique scalp treatment that cleanses, stimulates, nourishes, and hydrates it, so it’s healthy. With an unhealthy scalp, the hair lacks the foundation to thrive properly. This relatively new treatment works similarly to a HydraFacial done on the face, but just for your scalp. HydraFacial Keravive uses the same device and similar attachments to purify the scalp of dead skin cells, oil, product buildup, and other hair offenders and then infuses active ingredients into the scalp for a facial-like result. In the end, thicker, fuller hair will be staring back at you in the mirror.

How does the HydraFacial Keravive work?

Like a HydraFacial for your face, HydraFacial Keravive follows a similar three-step protocol focusing on deep cleanse and exfoliation (the third step is an at-home product).

The scalp treatment also employs the brand’s HydraFacial machine and vortex technology (the vacuum-sucking part of the treatment). However, the most significant difference is that HydraFacial Keravive cleanses and nurtures the scalp, making it healthier to stimulate hair growth for all hair and scalp types.

First, the handpiece is applied to the scalp as it gently glides across it to cleanse it and loosen and remove dirt, oil, dead skin cells, debris, and product buildup. A Beta HD solution is used, which contains salicylic acid for healthy exfoliation.

Next, a second attachment is placed on the handpiece to deliver the Keravive Peptide Solution serum into the scalp. This serum is rich in growth factors and peptides and helps hydrate the scalp while encouraging healthy hair growth.

Finally, the treatment finishes with a few spritzes of the take-home treatment, which is rich in peptides. It’s sprayed onto the scalp and massaged in, just as you perform it at home (you’ll go home with a bottle of the spray to continue to hydrate the scalp and stimulate it for thicker, healthier-looking hair.)

What are the benefits of a HydraFacial Keravive?

There’s a lot that this powerful scalp treatment can do for the scalp, including:

Who is the HydraFacial Keravive for?

The HydraFacial Keravive works well for anyone suffering from changes in their normal hair growth patterns, regardless of hair type, texture or length. It’s also an excellent option to keep your scalp healthy. Some patients who experience dry scalp, itchiness, seborrheic dermatitis, dandruff, or other scalp conditions, including irritations, find regular treatments beneficial.

If you find that routine shampooing doesn’t leave your hair and scalp feeling as clean as they should, the HydraFacial Keravive is an excellent adjunct treatment to remove any buildup. And it’s a great option for a deep-down scalp cleanse, which regular shampooing doesn’t provide to the same degree. Although frequent washing is a must for all hair types—thinning hair or not—the scalp’s pores, like those on the face, can become clogged and lead to breakouts, redness, inflammation, and slowed growth. But removing pore-clogging debris and exfoliating the scalp allows it to function optimally and healthily.

What does a HydraFacial Keravive treatment feel like?

The HydraFacial Keravive is painless and quite relaxing. During the treatment, your aesthetician will work in small sections, mainly focusing on the hairline. Then, a suctioning handpiece glides across the scalp. As the treatment works its magic, dead skin, oil, debris, product buildup, and anything else impeding your hair’s expected growth are gently exfoliated. The vacuum-like device doesn’t pull on the hair or scalp, leaving the scalp feeling refreshed and super clean.

How much does the HydraFacial Keravive cost?

The cost of a HydraFacial Keravive treatment varies depending on your location and how many sessions you need. Individual treatments can start at $500.

Common FAQs

The HydraFacial Keravive is one hair-helping treatment that won’t leave your strands looking instantly bouncy, shiny, or full. Instead, you’ll want the Keravive serum to stay on the scalp for as long as possible before shampooing it out. Directly after the treatment, the hair may look air-dried or frizzy, although it will feel light and clean.

Whether doing the HydraFacial Keravive to restore the hair and scalp or just looking for a deep clean, removing scalp buildup will exfoliate anything blocking the hair from growing properly. It’s similar to the results of a facial just on your head. Again, results can be seen with just one treatment, although the best results are when a plan is established.

The HydraFacial Keravive is an excellent way to wake up the hair follicle and jumpstart its natural growth patterns. However, we recommend that you are done breastfeeding before starting the regimen.
